My twelve-year-old daughter has
thoroughly enjoyed taking guitar lessons with
Mr. S for the last three years. Mr. S creates
lessons that are always informative, encouraging
and fun. This positive atmosphere has not only
allowed my daughter to learn to play guitar, but
to appreciate and understand the dynamics and
beauty of music. He is an amazing and talented
music instructor!

Mr. S is a wonderful teacher.
He has helped me learn to play the guitar with confidence.
I hope I can become a wonderful musician like Mr.
S and share my music with the world.

Our 13-year-old daughter and 14-year-old
son have been taking piano lessons from Mr. S for
several years. Prior to our children taking lessons
from Mr. S, they were both starting to lose interest
in the piano and it was very hard to get them to
practice. They now enjoy practicing piano. Mr. S.
makes the lessons fun and gives them a variety of
music to practice. Mr. S. is not only an excellent
piano teacher but a phenomenal musician as well.

Michael Schwagerus is a gifted
music teacher who has a wonderful way with children!
Both my children are fortunate to be learning piano
with him. My son, who is 11, has been studying with
Mr. S for almost 4 years. My daughter, age 7, has
been taking lessons for 2 years. My children have
very different temperaments and learning styles.
Despite their differences, I have been amazed at
how Mr. S has been able to reach each of them and
engage them in music in ways that relate to their
individual abilities. His teaching style is patient
and kind while encouraging the children to work
to their full potential. They are not simply learning
to play some tunes they are gaining a true understanding
and appreciation of music, composition, theory and
how it relates to not only the songs they learn,
but also any music they hear.

Mike works with the preschoolers every week, helping them develop knowledge of high and low, loud and soft, singing on key, and singing together while he directs them. In late Fall, he starts preparing the children for our annual Christmas Concert.
Every year I am again impressed and amazed that they have learned so many songs, which they sing so beautifully! One would have to be there to understand their amazing level of enthusiasm and joy. Their faces are shinning, their eye are dancing, and every ounce of their joy is on display on the stage as they proudly perform for their families. It is one of those evenings when I go home with my cheeks burning because I have spent the entire night with a big smile on my face! It is really just wonderful.
